JK Rowling, Neil Gaiman or Robin Hobb, in the middle of a good writing burst. Because I want to know how it feels to be an established writer, with a good body of work behind me, living comfortably off my writing and delighting in the characters and worlds I’ve created (I don’t doubt it is hard a lot of the time though – which is why I specified it had to be on a good writing day!).
When your hair matches your mallets
Excited to be starting work on editing a book. Also excited that it’s sunny and I can read in my hangout pod thing. Also bemused that it’s 9 degrees and feels pleasant.
Not a triplet but a…twentytwoplet? I think I underestimated this piece.
So the layers aren’t even, and there should be nine. But seven layers taste just as good! And it means I just need to make it another time to practise :)

It’s an exciting day. We’ve not had a functional stove since before Christmas. Our valiant camping hot plate did its best but now we have this marvellous induction cooktop and I can’t believe how fast a pot of water boils on it. Also so grateful to know a retired sparky to install it and refuse to accept payment :)
