Was sick today. Again, as in Oxford, the only completely sunny day and I slept through it. Jake went back to England in the afternoon. John, Bek and I ventured out to get dinner, and then Bek and I chilled out by watching some Dead Like Me while John hung out with his family. It had been quite a busy time while I was in Belfast and Bek and I hadn’t really had much time to just be together and chat, so that was really good. Then some WoW. Then bed.
Not a triplet but a…twentytwoplet? I think I underestimated this piece.
So the layers aren’t even, and there should be nine. But seven layers taste just as good! And it means I just need to make it another time to practise :)
New post at The Bexfiles (link in bio). Also, the post is not about Paris but I rather like this photo of stairs at the Arc de Triomphe.
It’s an exciting day. We’ve not had a functional stove since before Christmas. Our valiant camping hot plate did its best but now we have this marvellous induction cooktop and I can’t believe how fast a pot of water boils on it. Also so grateful to know a retired sparky to install it and refuse to accept payment :)
More practising. It’s funny how you can create a narrative out of nothing. I took my camera along on my walk to shoot just a bunch of footage to muck around with. Now it feels like there’s a story here. Also I get to see what my hair looks like from the back…I like it! :)
